Russell Horton Shares Civil Trial Tips in National Legal Publication

GBKH Partner B. Russell Horton recently shared his expertise in civil trial law with the national legal publication Law360 in a story about what to avoid when drafting a civil lawsuit, “5 Things to Leave Out of a Complaint,” (subscription required). In the article, Mr. Horton tells lawyers, “Don’t make your job harder than it has to be,” after explaining that attorneys generally want to choose the cleanest, safest path in order to achieve successful and beneficial verdicts. He notes in the article that many legal theories may apply to a particular case, but that trying to employ multiple theories represents a potential landmine for lawyers and their clients. Mr. Horton represents companies, partnerships and individuals in cases involving commercial and business disputes; insurance coverage and consumer claims; intellectual property law; professional liability; and serious injury and wrongful death. He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
